R&D Software Engineer

Role Description & Responsibilities

  • As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop and continuously improve software for supply chain planning, operations planning and optimization solutions in order to provide World Class Applications, Optimizers, Services and Technologies delivering experiences & value to end-users.
  • Continuously improve deliveries based on usage and user feedbacks
  • Understand user requirements and propose enhancements by analyzing user behavior and competitive product landscape
  • Understand the portfolio plans, committed values, and position new developments in this context
  • Analyze code usage metrics to improve code quality and software performance
  • Collaborate with architects to design and develop reusable software components
  • Define and design software components for data ingestion, machine learning models, and operability while selecting the best algorithms and technologies


  • Degree in software engineering or equivalent
  • Min 3-5 years in software development or related experience
  • Hands on application development and coding experience in Object-oriented (OO) programming and/or design
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a good command of English
  • Domain knowledge about Railway Planning & Scheduling Operations is a plus
