What will your role be?

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of applications and roles on premise and in the cloud by planning and managing the Quality test activities for all releases, monitoring status and metrics, mitigating risks, engaging in hands on testing, provide GO/NOGO decisions.  In addition, you will work closely with a product team consisting of product managers, test engineers, developers, and external customers as required.  

The challenges ahead

  • Review specifications:
    • Validate the functional specifications for completeness and testability
  • Support test strategy definition:
    • Define What, how, when, and depth of test coverage
  • Coordinate testing efforts, define time estimates for different test phases
  • Provide testing status, generate reports, track metrics, and create post release summaries
  • Provide leadership and directions to the team to create and execute test plans, functional and non-functional use cases, test scenarios and test matrix, test execution reports, and defect reporting
  • Submit requirements for automated test enablers delivery to Software Engineer, and define priorities
  • Conduct meetings with quality personnel to review progress of quality programs and activities and to establish responsibilities and procedures for obtaining objectives of the quality engineering program
  • Execute functional tests:
    • Functionality and error-handling
    • Non-Regression
  • Key contributor in a global, multi-cultural distributed testing and quality engineering team
  • Responsible for developing employees to ensure that testing is carried out in accordance with the company’s business processes
  • Provide coaching and leadership to staff on testing and automation practices
  • Technical skills in Software development processes, testing methodologies
  • Experience of using the products as a user
    • Functionality / technical design & related industry business processes and complement it with relevant use cases, test scenarios definition/creation.
  • Technical Automation experience 
  • Deep interest in software testing and quality

Your Key Success Factors:

  • Knowledge of usability testing, PCS, Security, Mobile/Web, Technical Automation experience Deep interest in software testing and quality
  • B.S., M.S., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience is required
  • 5+ years of experience as a software QA engineer with current hands on experience with enterprise products and custom solutions
  • 3+ years relevant team leadership experience
  • Experience designing, implementing, and leading the test strategy for complex enterprise products working with the product team to reduce risks.
  • Technical knowledge and experience implementing continuous test solutions using open source tools such as RestAssured, Selenium, and orchestration tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, and JIRA
  • Ensure all testing activities are properly tracked and reported using test management tools
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, management, problem-solving and analytical skills working with global teams on complex software with varied configurations and integrations
  • Experience with testing Cloud based products and implementing automated QA testing processes under a DevOps model strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of database interfaces and SQL; experience with scripting or programming in addition to Linux usage and navigation is desired
  • Conversant in software development and testing methodologies including scaled agile
  • Prior work experience in enterprise software, cloud testing, and scientific software is desired
  • A fast learner and highly motivated individual, who is continually looking for ways to improve and actively works in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills and organizational skills with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Project management and people management skills

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience.
