Based in Shanghai and reporting to the China General Counsel, you will witness and help drive the digital transformation in all industries in China.
What will be your role?
- Work closely with sales teams in China for transactions such as software licensing agreement, service agreements, deal structure, contract drafting, etc.
- Collaboratively resolve complex issues in a time-sensitive manner.
- Act as internal legal advisor in terms of employment, procurement, finance, business ethics and M&A, compliance, governance and data protection, etc.
What key success factors?
- Business-oriented, solution-driven with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Hands on experience in software licensing agreements, contract negotiations and drafting.
- Ability to prioritize matters and use technical experience and analytical thinking to handle high volume of work.
- Sound judgment and ability to propose solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems.
- LL.B. and/or higher legal education from a reputable law school
- Bar admission in China
- 5- 10 years related experience in MNC and law firms, ideally technology/software field
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
