As a Summer Intern in SOLIDWORKS R&D, you will be involved in research and development activities in Machine Learning as applied to problems in CAD and related areas. You will interact with different groups working on software development, software testing, eLearning and research. You will be provided with the necessary tools to develop prototype software and any required research material.

This is a full time, 40 hours per week, paid internship, with a flexible summer 2023 start.  The position will be based in Dassault Systèmes North American Headquarters at 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, Massachusetts.

Work on problems faced by SOLIDWORKS users while executing their daily tasks.

Research some of the previous work performed in the area of Machine Learning for CAD.

Propose new and innovative ideas and new ways of solving CAD related problems and estimate the scope of work required. Write a proposal and get it approved.

Implement your ideas and create a prototype. Test it on real data. Evaluate its performance and effectiveness. Make any changes necessary and repeat the process until all objectives are reached as desired.

Create a project report and present it to the team.

Demonstrates proficiency in programming using one or more of Python, MATLAB, R, C++ and JavaScript.

Software development experience in one or more of these languages Python, Matlab, R, C++ and JavaScript

Independent, rigorous, self-motivated, and research-minded individual willing to explore various technologies and data.

Actively enrolled in a Degree Program for the duration of the internship 

Able to work in Waltham office

Exhibits strong organizational skills and detail orientation

Possesses fluency in English, both verbally and in writing 

Demonstrates a polished, professional demeanor when interacting with peers, colleagues and customers.
