The SIMULIA Fluids Workflow Management team is responsible for supporting the development and deployment of workflows for all SIMULIA Fluids Products for all industries. In particular, the team proposes, builds, executes and summarizes the ability of SIMULIA Fluids products and roles to execute standard and emerging workflows. The findings are shared with both the R&D development team as well as the field.
As an intern within our group, you will be expected to execute grid convergence studies, sensitivity studies i.e. boundary conditions or physics models, and post-process results. You will communicate your findings to your team members.
This is a 6-month, paid internship with a flexible summer 2022 start. This internship is based at the Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp office located at 175 Wyman St, Waltham, MA 02451.

What will Your Role Be?
The role is intended to exercise the SIMULIA Navier-Stokes solver in the Fluid Dynamics Engineer Role (FMK) for a range of workflows of varying degree of complexity for multiple industries.
There will be a strong validation component to the role, comparing results back to published Open Literature data sets to establish predictive accuracy.
In certain instances, you will be expected to execute Design of Experiments (DoEs) and optimization on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and share findings with your team members.
Your Key Success Factors
Actively enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program Actively enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program In Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering for the duration of the internshipfor the duration of the internship
Minimum GPA 3.0
Able to take direction and guidance from others in a positive manner
Adopts and develops best practices and navigates around obstacles creatively
Strong knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Turbulence modeling fundamentals
Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS a plus.
