Your Mission:
The Director of Demand Marketing, US Mid Market is responsible for creating, executing and measuring demand generation programs that drive sales of Medidata’s offerings for the Life Sciences industry. This position works closely with internal marketing groups and the US Mid Market Sales organization. This high visibility role will interface with sales and marketing leadership as well as executive client leadership. It will require exceptional creativity, the ability to innovate, and a “hands-on” approach to accomplish the work.
Your Commitments:
Establish relationships with the senior marketing leadership team
Engage the US Mid Market Sales team in annual and quarterly planning to determine programs and activities to achieve business and revenue objectives
Create strategic marketing plans supporting the adoption and uptake of Medidata offerings
Execute demand generation programs and integrated marketing campaigns utilizing a variety of techniques including Business Development programs, email, webinars, social media initiatives, digital marketing and inbound marketing programs
Collaborate with product marketing and marketing communications to create marketing assets such as data sheets, customer reference stories, sales enablement tools, videos, ROI analysis, social media awareness and “air cover”, earned press, press releases, and other external communications
Ensure that demand generation programs properly integrate strategic product related initiatives
Serve as the US Mid Market marketing point-of-contact on cross-functional marketing efforts
Measure and report performance against established metrics
Up to 20% travel; mostly US regional-based
Your Competencies:
Knowledge and experience in building and executing marketing plans and programs utilizing email and other outbound tactics, webinars, digital/inbound marketing, social media and face-to-face events
Ability to devise new and innovative communication methods and assets to articulate Medidata messages and value propositions to customer accounts
Ability to be innovative with program creation and problem resolution
Deep knowledge and understanding of marketing tools, processes, and execution of workflows in order to define, track, and report KPIs for co-marketing activities
Experience interfacing with all levels in a Sales organization including account executives, technical consultants, regional managers, and senior leadership
Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills to bring together stakeholders from disparate functional groups to enable program creation, support, and execution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously
Your Education & Experience:
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $135,000-180,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $141,750-$189,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $132,750-$177,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $118,500-$158,000.00
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $120,750-$161,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
