As part of the 3DEXCITE global delivery team your daily business will be: You take the engineering CAD Data and analyze it. Plan your process including variants and modularity. Start cleaning the data; structure the data to build a master model in DeltaGen.
The CAD Specialist main role is to collect, analyze and prepare the CAD data for virtual productions. He plays a fundamental role right at the beginning of the 3D Model creation process and he is responsible for delivering a high quality data set to the creative departments. Moreover, the CAD Specialist is responsible to maintain this 3D model during the whole life-cycle, to implement updates and to adapt it for the different required productions.
What will your role be?
- analyze and prepare the CAD data for virtual productions in DeltaGen
- fundamental role right at the beginning of the 3D Model creation process
- Preparation of 3D models according to 3DExcite standards and naming conventions
- The CAD Specialist is responsible to maintain this 3D model during the whole life-cycle, to implement updates and to adapt it for the different required productions
- Polygon reduction for various VR/AR/Realtime use cases.
The Challenges ahead
In this role is to be awaited a close intra-departmental collaboration as well as a direct contact with Project Managers and other departments.
Your Key Success Factors
- Background in the field of Engineering, Architecture or Design.
- Experience 2-5 Years
- proficient with at least one of the most common CAD software (like Catia, Autocad, Rhinocero, NX, Alias) and understands the CAD design principles.
- proficient with at least one of the most common 3D Software application (like Maya, Cinema 4D, 3DS Max).
- proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Has an eye for details and aims to high quality deliverables.
- open minded and a team player who is ready to collaborate with skilled colleagues in an international and multicultural environment.
- Experience within the automotive industry and proficiency in foreign languages is welcome.
