Challenge

The future of mobility isn’t simply electrifying vehicles and reducing emissions. This is only part of the solution; the other half is to revolutionize the system itself. Midipile is leading the move towards a resilient and sustainable mobility ecosystem by offering a new type of vehicle and ownership scheme.

Disruptive Innovation

Midipile designs and manufactures electric micro-utility vehicles. The concept is simple: to create a high-performance, reliable and robust vehicle for everyday logistics operations. Its unique expertise lies in designing and producing an active (pedal-powered) vehicle while maintaining a high level of performance (up to 45 km/h and a 300 kg payload).

Impact

Midipile supports multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals by designing electric, energy-efficient vehicles (SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy; SDG 13 – Climate Action), developing services compatible with carbon neutrality (SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), promoting local economic activity through community-focused projects (SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities), and producing vehicles locally to strengthen industrialization and territorial resilience.

Leveraging the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

Midipile has been using Dassault Systèmes applications **since its creation in 2020** to imagine and develop their hybrid vehicle. The **3D**EXPERIENCE platform gives them access to many tools to accelerate their development. They are now a car manufacturer equipped to offer a new category of vehicles. It is essential for Midipile to meet the many challenges presented in the production process, from design to mechanical engineering to electronic integration.
