Dassault Systèmes (DS)' solution for Component and Standard Management enables material managers to develop, source and establish seasonal assignment. The library of materials can be associated to a seasonal or palette library (see Seasonal and Line Planning). This gives users access to corporate design direction which aids in material placement and positioning. DS solution enables internal and external stakeholders to collaborate on the development and sourcing of materials from sampling through review and approval. Sample yardage, swatches, head ends and trim samples can be requested through Sample Request and Sample Order feature. This helps the Production Office to improve sample management by streamlining notification, tracking and approval processes.
The solution includes fabric development features to support processes such as Lab Dip request, review, tracking as well as development and application of washes and finishes. Washes and finishes can be developed individually and then applied to materials allowing companies to better leverage developed formulas and protocols. Raw material testing performance and approval processes are managed through workflow and notifications that can be routed internally or externally with a 3rd party testing labs.
DS' solution tracks end usage information for all raw materials. Using standard capabilities, users can quickly perform mass edits or replace a component across an entire season or multiple seasons. The ability to manage standards such as points of measure, grade rules, construction details and templates is controlled through role-based access to ensure integrity and accuracy. Brands are now able to leverage cross enterprise visibility and demand for improved cost negotiations, availability and production readiness.
