Introduction to Abaqus/CFD

Course Objective

Abaqus/CFD provides advanced computational fluid dynamics capabilities with extensive support for preprocessing and postprocessing provided in Abaqus/CAE. In this course, you will learn how to analyze CFD problems in Abaqus, as well as nonlinear coupled fluid-thermal and fluid-structural problems.

The topics include:

  • Incompressible laminar and turbulent flow
  • Coupled analysis
  • Conjugate heat transfer analysis
  • Buoyancy-driven flow
  • Fluid-structure interaction
  • Deforming mesh ALE
  • Postprocessig CFD analyses
Who Should Attend

This course is recommended for engineers with experience using Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit. Some understanding of Abaqus/CAE is helpful but is not required.
