Prog & Control Engineering
Program and Control Engineering provides a suite of solutions that allow the user to virtually program, validate and simulate manufacturing systems for the virtual commissioning of production facilities.
CATIA Ergonomics Evaluation

Ergonomic Workplace Evaluation
DELMIA Ergonomics Evaluation (EGE) is the core product for creating Lifelike Manikins with standard anthropometry. Users are able to place them into the V6 3D model and evaluate how a person will interact with a product or workplace design. An intuitive user interface allows V6 users to evaluate human factors such as work accessibility, reach envelopes, and the ability of a person to “see” the task they are being asked to perform. DELMIA Ergonomics Evaluation makes human factor evaluation accessible to all V6 users.

Intuitive Standard Manikin Creation
EGE provides an intuitive function allowing to rapidly and easily create manikins of different gender, populations, percentiles and postures. The user interface is composed of immersive commands allowing to change the options of Gender; Population; Percentiles; and standard Postures. The manikin can be placed at any location simply by clicking on the target location or moving directly the robot snapped to the manikin feet. Once the options are chosen, a simple command to acknowledge and complete creation is proposed. This approach allows replacing the more complex and detailed creation panel that was ported from the V5 Human Builder solution. It also complements our existing and more detailed offering for manikin creation.Manikin Manipulation
EGE allows to combine in one single mode, the values provided by the Inverse Kinematics, Forward Kinematics and Autograsp commands. As the user selects this mode, and then a specific segment, Inverse Kinematics or Forward Kinematics manipulator is automatically proposed. When new segment is selected, the manipulator is directly repositioned on this segment. When hands are selected, the hand grasp postures are proposed within this immersive toolbar. At all time, a Reset button is also available to find back an acceptable posture. As such, this new mode reduces the need to find the right manipulators to modify the manikin postures, into more complex (but more complete) toolbars.Manikin Vision Assessment
The Manikin vision assessment capability from V5 is made available to allow a better understanding of what an actual human would "see" in a working environment. As a core of this highlight, a separate vision window displays the vision field from the manikin perspective. Lines of Sight, as well as vision cones in three different formats, can also be displayed. Visual disability in term of field of view or eyes motions limitations can be simulated. Visual characteristics can be displayed as a visual cone that permits the user to gain an insight into the manikin's view within the virtual environment. Finally, a vision window camera orientation parameter makes sure that the scene is always seen at the horizontal even if the manikin is laterally bending its head.
