Dassault Systèmes' Mediation

Dassault Systèmes is committed to promote sustainability amongst its suppliers and develop fair and ethical practices in business.

Consequently, Dassault Systèmes has implemented strong Corporate Social Responsibility undertakings in the environmental, social and ethics fields, as well as other local initiatives aimed at developing other dimensions of sustainable procurement.

In this context, Dassault Systèmes wishes to promote discussions with its suppliers, taking into account principles such as:

  • Creating a long-lasting relationship between Dassault Systèmes and its suppliers.
  • Ensuring equity to all suppliers
  • Reducing mutual dependence risks
  • Taking into account, when choosing a supplier, the total cost of the purchase and not only the apparent price
  • Considering the Environmental impacts
  • Ensuring sustainable development and territorial responsibility

Dassault Systèmes Mediation Process

Dassault Systèmes has also implemented, in France, a mediation process and has appointed its Group Ethics & Compliance Officer as Mediator.

Role of the Mediator

  • Facilitates  exchanges between Dassault systèmes and a supplier when a conflict has arisen and discussions between the Purchasing Department and the supplier have not led to the resolution of the conflict.

    The purpose of the mediation process is not only to have Dassault Systèmes and a supplier try to solve the conflict, but also try to keep a long-lasting relationship between the parties.

Mission of the Mediator

  • Acts with neutrality (he does not belong to Dassault Systèmes Purchasing Department), fairness and confidentiality.

    In the course of a mediation process, confidentiality of all exchanges and respect of each other is expected from Dassault Systèmes and the supplier.
