Visualisations and Reality Modelling

Every designer wants to create a realistic impression of the finished product from the first design draft on. The quality of the product visualisation is also critical for the design approval process. ICEM Surf enables the creation of the product visualisation within the modelling software – we call it Reality Modelling.

The regular introduction of new features also ensures the realism of product visualisation is continually improved. One of the latest additions, Ambient Occlusion, ensures that a realistic amount of light and shadow appear on a modelled surface.

The ability to share perfect model visualisations in the early stages of product development improves the quality of the overall design, and supports better product approval decision-making at management level. ICEM Surf Realtime Rendering

ICEM Surf’s rendering module provides advanced rendering functions and its best-ever photo-realistic images that provide designers with an attractive, accurate and realistic view of the model for presentations and design reviews. ICEM Surf Realtime Rendering is the module for feasibility studies, package dimensions optimisation, and decision support.

The view of your CAD model can also be changed while maintaining the photo-realistic quality of the visualisation. The integration of the ICEM Surf Magic module allows users to realise our unique Reality Modelling concept. This allows users to perform rapid, dynamic form changes to the model, whilst retaining the photo-realistic effects of reflection, textures, transparency and shadows at all times. This module also includes integrated materials and textures libraries.

ICEM Surf Viewer

Great design deserves an audience, and decision-makers need a basis for their assessments. Interested stakeholders outside of the design and engineering process can use the cost-free, standalone ICEM Surf Viewer to view any 3D model exported from ICEM Surf. This simple but powerful viewer is ideal for use in marketing and product presentations.
