Education meets Employment
Education in PLM: the Voice of Employers
Dassault Systèmes organized a one day conference (Mastering PLM - a must for employment) for the French academia. Taking example from several industries, universities have realized the need to develop curricula embracing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) empowering their students with a working knowledge of industrial processes.
The audience, composed of education executives, capture inspiring views on the application of Dassault Systèmes PLM from Toyota Motorsport experience and Dassault Systèmes speakers. As Dassault Systèmes PLM approach aligns with industry expectations and is adopted throughout the academic world, future engineers learn knowing they will be best placed for the most stimulating jobs.
PLM in Education: an End to End Curriculum
Following the conference day, Dassault Systèmes participation’ in Educatec 2005 (international education exhibition in Paris) confirmed the learning benefit of PLM in the academic world.
Present on Dassault Systèmes booth, the Jean Perrin high school, as one of the largest technical schools in France, offers 12 degrees in engineering techniques and is an advanced PLM user. To learn about industrial processes, educators initiated a multi-discipline project that has students leverage the Dassault Systèmes PLM approach. Learners working in a collaborative environment simulate real world processes, from design to manufacturing through structural analysis with CATIA, SMARTEAM and DELMIA. By using Dassault Systèmes PLM in their curriculum, the Jean Perrin high school provides credibility to their students and the keys to success in the future. |
