When design changes impact the location or orientation of the spot weld, RSW automatically adjusts the robot’s trajectories.
RSW lets programmers work in a virtual 3D environment, including shop floor resources and layout. They can plan, optimize, and validate the robotic spot welding program in the context of the manufacturing setting.

Sophisticated robot programming tools for spot weldingRSW's comprehensive suite of programming tools allows programmers to create, optimize, and validate robotic spot welding programs while immersed in the Version 6 3D environment. Select a group of welds, and a robot task is automatically generated that includes the spot operations for each weld and robot motions for approach and departure points. The robot can continue to be taught by adding via points to the task.
Spot weld profilesRSW users can define spot welding motion parameters through a spot weld profile, which includes approach, pressure start, weld, pressure end, and departure motion parameters. These parameters help programmers to create accurate welding programs, and provide essential details for translating the program when they download it via DELMIA Robotics Offline Programming (ROP).
Share weld analysis results in Co-Review sessionUsing the Co-Review tool, the display of Weld Study Analysis results, such as weld accessibility graph and weld report details, can be shared between departments to communicate the issues with both spot weld locations and tool designs. Weld gun search and weld analysisAutomotive OEMs have weld guns with multiple styles, shapes, and designs. Finding the right weld guns for specific part designs, weld locations, welding paths, and robots can be daunting and time-consuming. RSW’s automatic tool-selection assistant automatically searches the desired weld gun library, checks each weld gun against the assigned part and weld points, and presents the user with a 3D-based list of weld guns that can have collision-free access to all the weld points in the defined trajectory. The tool-selection assistant also helps users pick the right weld gun; they can generate a weld-point cross-section, perform a manual weld-gun accessibility check, and re-orient the weld to optimize the robot program. Using the Co-Review tool, Weld analysis results can be shared between departments to communicate the issues with both spot weld locations and tool designs. Customizable HTML reports can be generated based on the results of this analysis.
Weld gun section analysis with section stack-upProgrammers can check the design of a weld gun against all the welds in a given trajectory with section analysis.
