Plant and Resources Engineering
Plant and Resource Engineering supplies the tools to define and optimize manufacturing assets concurrently with manufacturing planning, leveraging DELMIA’s unique Product Process Resource (PPR) model.
DELMIA Resource Layout
Define Factory Resource Layouts
DELMIA Resource Layout (RLT) delivers advanced layout capabilities to the manufacturing planner that allows them to efficiently define the resource layout for a factory. Included are two types of resource catalogs; a customizable mechanical device catalog and a parametric catalog of generic equipment such as shelving, tables, and chairs. When 2D factory drawings are available, planners can leverage them within the virtual factory model by snapping resources from the catalogs to their defined positions.
DELMIA Resource Layout delivers a V6 3D environment for defining and validating shop floor layouts and delivering them to shop floor for construction and to downstream stakeholders for use as they further enrich and validate their process plans.
- Capability to define resource hierarchies
- Ability to import existing 2D drawings and blueprints and create accurate 3D layouts
- Ready-to-use catalog of parametric resources to rapidly build a 3D factory layout
- Easy-to-use tools to position and manipulate resources in 3D
- Ability to extract 2D drawings of the 3D layout with capabilities to dress-up, annotate, dimension and print them
Capability to define resource hierarchiesClarifies relations among resources, which makes planning more efficient.
Ability to import existing 2D drawings and blueprints and create accurate 3D layoutsMinimizes errors; users can discover layout problems early, avoiding rework.
Ready-to-use catalog of parametric resources to rapidly build a 3D factory layoutReady-to-use catalog of parametric and non-parametric resources makes layout design very easy. User can modify parameters to obtain a desired resource object for use in the layout. Users can also create customized catalog of parametric resources and continue to use associated available benefits of parametric resources.
Easy-to-use tools to position and manipulate resources in 3DDELMIA Resource Layout can be used by both CAD and non-CAD users to quickly bring alive a 3D layout for all study purposes, which saves doing work in 2D format.
Ability to extract 2D drawings of the 3D layout with capabilities to dress-up, annotate, dimension and print themData can be easily shared across an organization in 3D, in 3dxml format, or in 2D, as a generated drawing.
