Today’s collaborative working environment requires frequent, high-volume data exchange. That’s why ICEM Surf also includes a broad range of connectivity tools. These tools allow you to cooperate as efficiently and effectively as possible with other departments, suppliers and OEM customers.
ICEM Surf provides a variety of direct interfaces for the major platform systems and neutral, industry-standard interfaces. So, you can be sure that the software will be easy to integrate into the CAD/CAM systems environment you are running. ICEM Surf can also be integrated into existing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system environments. The benefits are clear: improved workflow, enhanced data integrity and easier data sharing between power users and casual users.
The following modules are available:
ICEM Surf Direct Interfaces
ICEM Surf Direct Interfaces translate CAD data bi-directionally, without a neutral file. Direct interfaces are available for CATIA, Unigraphics, 3DPaint, and CDRS.
ICEM Surf Standard Interfaces allow data sharing between ICEM Surf and CAD systems. Data is translated into a neutral format, so that the receiving CAD system can use it to accurately convert the data into its own native format. Supported standard interface file formats include: IGES and VDA/FS format.
The ICEM Surf Synergy module supports collaborative efficiency by enabling two users to work simultaneously on the same design, regardless of their relative location. The session leader simply transfers their data into the Synergy environment, and both users can follow the changes the other makes in real time. Not only does this feature increase productivity, it also eliminates travel time and costs that might otherwise have been incurred for face-to-face design reviews and model discussions.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions are no longer the preserve of large enterprises. Increasingly, they are also being used by your suppliers and subsuppliers, or your OEMs respectively. ICEM Surf PLM link enables you to seamlessly integrate our software into any existing PLM environment – whether your own or that of your OEM customer.
