CENIT Software FASTCURVE is a modular build application which easily can be customized and made available as tailored solution for different trimming technologies, such as laser cutting, water-jet cutting, routing, ultrasonic cutting and others. Years of experience in development and implementation of 3D offline-programming systems for different niche applications and the close cooperation with leading machine manufacturers for niche applications such as laser-cutting or water-jet cutting and the prototyping industry paved the way for a customer-driven tool that covers the entire CAD/CAM process chain for all 3D trimming applications, thus bringing added value to our customers due to its flexibility and functionality.
FASTCURVE supports all different trimming systems, which can be mount on industrial robots like laser guns or water jet for cutting sheet metal or plastics, or milling heads for trimming or deburring. FASTCURVE includes all necessary offline-programming and simulation components to cover the requirement all the processes mentioned above.
An extensive set of implementation kits for all common robotics cells, is available, or can easily be added and implemented. The standard robots of the most important machine suppliers like ABB, KUKA, Motoman, Fanuc, Reis and other are currently available. The list of supported robots is updated and extended regularly. The CENIT strategy is to provide a complete implementation of the robot cell containing a geometry and kinematics model of the robot, optional external devices like rails, positioners and the cutting head as well as an extended translator to create the robot program in the appropriate language for the robot. Robot specific control panels allow further customization of FASTCURVE. This allows a dedicated optimization for the used robot celll and the robot controller, giving the user the options to create highly efficient robot movements.
To create robot paths for a fast and efficient cutting process, FASTCURVE offers powerful algorithms to generate a smooth and collision-free robot motions, which are based on contours and surfaces of CAD geometry of the part. Several options are available for a fast and easy creation of cutting contours. Either underlying surfaces can be used automatically to obtain the orientation of the robot head, or surfaces to define the tool orientation can be selected manually.To optimize the contours, the robot orientations can be changed at a given position (jogging) or also be interpolated between two orientations. This allows the creation of smooth motions on one hand and gives the user a lot of control about the robot movements on the other hand. To avoid collisions of the tool, the robot, or other external devices with the part, the standard DELMIA collision check with exact robot kinematics and dimensions, clamps and fixtures can be applied.
