Product Overview

ENOVIA Supply Chain Exchange (SCE) provides functions for exchanging project-based product data with suppliers and partners. Exchanges are performed in standard-based (STEP) format to enable OEMs to exchange product structures along with associated 3D design data with partners who might be using different product data management systems.

Functions are provided for supervisors or data exchange administrators to define exchange profiles for each partner in each project by taking into account the format used, type of exchanged objects, security rules, etc.

After exchange profiles are setup, end-users can perform data exchange by simply choosing a project name, a partner name, and an object to be exchanged. This simplifies the exchange process for the end users and enables repeatability of the exchange using existing profiles.

What's new?

In this release V5R21 there are no new enhancements.

Product Highlights

  • STEP-based data exchange function that enhances OEMs' collaboration with suppliers and partners
  • Ability to set up custom exchange for each partnerin each project by taking into account the format used, types of objects to be exchanged, security rules, etc.
  • Push-button exchange function for the end users

Product Key Customer Benefits

  • Enhanced collaboration with the extended enterprise use exchange standards such as STEP AP203, AP214, and PDM Schema to exchange assembly structures along with all associated 3D design data with suppliers and partners who might be using different product data management systems.

  • Simplified data exchange for the end-users allow end-users to perform data exchange with suppliers and partners by simply choosing a project name, a partner name, and an object to be exchanged.

  • Extensive validation and control on the exchanged data a data exchange administrator can select the types of objects to be exchanged with a partner in a particular project. For instance, one partner may wish to receive only the BoM (Bill of Materials) structure without the CAD data, while another partner needs the BoM with all attached CAD data. The same principle applies on the import procedure, each data that will be reconciled back to ENOVIA VPM database needs to be extensively checked according to the defined profiles. For instance, certain attributes such as a supplier's designer name can be filtered out, while other attributes such as part price needs to be kept.
