Y-12 National Security Complex is designing a new manufacturing facility to replace old multiple operational facilities scattered across 800 acres of the complex. A substantial amount of operations will be done by employees utilizing glove boxes which are a challenging ergonomic design problem. Knowing that protection and well being is a primary consideration of employees; Y-12 is including ergonomics early in the design phase using the DELMIA Human Modeling Technology software.
