DELMIA Version 6 Release 2013x

A 3DEXPERIENCE of Global Production Systems for sustainable development

Plant and Resources Engineering

Plant and Resource Engineering supplies the tools to define and optimize manufacturing assets concurrently with manufacturing planning, leveraging DELMIA’s unique Product Process Resource (PPR) model.

DELMIA NC Machine Builder

NC Machine Tool Device Definition

DELMIA NC Machine Builder (NMB) delivers the capabilities necessary to create virtual NC machine tools and their controllers for use in tool path programming, optimization, and validation in a V6 3D environment. Device modelers are able to define axis motion parameters, including travel limits, acceleration and speeds. Advanced machine tool types, such as multi-axis mills and multi-spindle mill-turns, are supported as are machine tool accessories. Once the machine tool model is complete, it can be saved to a resource library for use by NC tool path programmers as they define, optimize, and validate their NC programs.

  • Unique NC machine resource definition for the enterprise
  • Comprehensive NC Machine Definition
  • Automatic Inverse Kinematic Solver
  • Validation of NC Machine resource definition via the Jog capability
  • Unique NC machine resource definition for the enterprise
Completely define machine, including geometry, kinematics, and attributes to be used in different NC processes of the enterprise like NC Programming, simulation, post processing and controller emulation.
  • Comprehensive NC Machine Definition
Comprehensive NC Machine definition including geometry; axis travel, velocity, and speed limits; home positions; tool change position(s); machine table and spindel definitins; and fixture/workpiece setup locations.
  • Automatic Inverse Kinematic Solver
Automatic assignment of NC machine class specific Inverse Kinematic solver based on defined kinematics chains. Supports machines modeled in V5 as well as machines with external axes; including parallel axes machines.
  • Validation of NC Machine resource definition via the Jog capability
Manipulate the machine tool's axis using jog capabilities to validate kinematics; travel limits; and home positions.
