Simulate and Validate Industrial Robot Behavior using Native Robot Controller Software
DELMIA Robotics Virtual Commissioning (RVC) allows virtual 3D simulation and validation of native language robot programs using the robot vendor’s Virtual Robot Controller (VRC) software, which implements the Realistic Robot Simulation II (RRS-II) interface standard. The virtual robot’s cycle time and trajectory can be simulated with nearly 100 percent accuracy compared to the physical robot. Users can also program and simulate a robot using a virtual teach pendant (when provided by the robot manufacturer) that mimics the teach pendant used on the physical robot.
DELMIA RVC integrates with DELMIA Robot Task Definition (RTD) to allow robot programmers to accurately simulate robot tasks. The actual robot programs can be safely validated in a 3D virtual environment before being deployed on the shop floor.

Simulate native language robot programsDELMIA RVC enables virtual 3D simulation and validation of native-language robot programs using native robot-controller software. The programs are executed on the robot vendor’s Virtual Robot Controller (VRC) software, which implements the Realistic Robot Simulation II (RRS-II) interface standard. It is possible to simulate the complete robot controller instruction set, including technology packages (such as material handling and cooperating robots). Production robot programs can be simulated without converting (or uploading) the programs to Version 6. The following VRC modules are currently supported: Kuka KRC, Yaskawa NX100 (Beta release), Kawasaki C, Nachi AW, and Fanuc RJ-3iB (Beta release).
Simulate Version 6 robot tasksRobot programmers who require highly accurate simulations of the robotic workcell can use RVC in conjunction with DELMIA Robotics Offline Programming (ROP). In this case, the program is authored using standard Version 6 robotics programming tools. It is then translated to the native robot controller language using ROP, and then validated in a virtual environment using RVC and the robot manufacturer’s VRC module.
