DELMIA D5 Integration allows current DELMIA D5 users to make best use of high-performance V5 products. DELMIA D5 data includes devices, device geometry, and kinematics from pre-V5 DELMIA legacy software such as IGRIP, ENVISION, and ULTRA products. D5 Integration loads all versions of D5 data, including device kinematics, attributes such as color, transparency and textures, into V5 software, eliminating the need to re-create the data. Once data is loaded, it can be processed by any DELMIA product that provides simulation functions.
D5I enhances productivity by means of a batch-mode translator, eliminating the need for the user to translate item by item. This is especially useful when dealing with a large model or large quantity of data.

Supports DELMIA D5 legacy data... DELMIA D5 Integration serves as an effective bridge to carry data from DELMIA D5 to V5 products. It allows users to retrieve all versions of D5 Parts, Devices, Workcells, Recordings, and Archived Workcells, enhancing user productivity.
Load Dimensions associated with Workcells... D5I allows loading of DELMIA D5 Workcells with Dimensions. A Measure Object is created for a Dimension, which can then be used in DELMIA V5 products.
Load Annotations associated with Workcells... D5I also allows the loading of DELMIA D5 Workcells with Annotations. A 3D Annotation feature is created for an Annotation, which can then be used in DELMIA V5 products.
Load User Views associated with Workcells... Additionally, D5I allows loading of DELMIA D5 Workcells with User Views. A Camera Object is created for a User View.
Import device relationships originally created in D5 Workcell... Improves worker productivity by not having to re-set device relationships -- such as an end-of-arm tooling attached to a robot -- once the device relationships are imported in V5
Import part co-ordinate systems as design tags... Users importing D5 data will have option to also import the co-ordinate systems defined in PDB parts. This will allow the user to use co-ordinates established in D5 as frames of reference in V5 when building devices or locating parts.
D5 Configuration support... A field within the Compatibility Tab page will allow users to specify the DELMIA configuration file(s) to be imported. The configuration file has all of the information regarding the directories that contain Workcells, Devices, Parts, Recordings, etc. All library definitions will be derived from the configuration file, eliminating the need for the user to specify it in V5.

D5 Integration allows Design Engineers to access D5 data when working in a V5 Product Document document (for example, when working with DMU Navigator). Additionally, D5 Integration allows the Process Engineer to work with D5 parts and devices in a V5 Process Document (for example, when working in DPM Assembly).
Synchronizes with updates to D5 data... Even when users save their D5 data as a native V5 product document, the reference to the original D5 data is maintained. This allows the synchronization of any changes made to the original D5 data when reloading it into V5.
