Systems Architect

The Systems Architect role provides advanced capabilities to model a system by viewpoints in a Model Based System Engineering Approach.

It enables to understand the operational context of the system with appropriate Systems Engineering methodology: the missions, the needs, the involved stakeholders, the services provided by the system, the system interfaces... It enables also to define through a functional decomposition a functional architecture and requirements.

From this functional decomposition the logical architecture of the product or systems is derived in order to analyze the different technological solutions that could correspond to the required functions.

The logical architecture is used to drive the sub-systems design or the physical design of components while ensuring compliance with all requirements throughout the product development process.


Understand or define needs and missions and develop a cost-effective solution by analyzing in a model based approach by viewpoints the operational context and services provided by the system as well as the functional & components architectures that will define the contour of all system components:


  • 3DEXPERIENCE Platform model based systems definition that integrates Requirements and System Architectures and their Physical behavior & implementation
  • Use of  systems requirements parameters that drives the efficient production of KPI’s and systems simulations
  • Ability to rapidly define, study and drive many versions and variants of systems architectures in order to converge on optimum solutions
  • Powerful & flexible out-of-the-box dashboard and report generation capabilities provide access to real time systems development  information

  • Collaborate across all disciplines to define a complete systems architecture through multiple viewpoints: operational, functional and components

  • Make business decisions based on trade studies that take into account system parameters and asset reuse

  • Reduce systems development effort through reuse of systems engineering assets and templates

  • Develop Requirements in context of System Architectures and demonstrate compliance with safety standards and best practices through comprehensive requirement traceability and impact analysis

  • Manage traceability across all systems artifacts from Requirements to Physical, with integrations to more than 60 common systems engineering tools
