Segula Technologies selects Dassault Systèmes’ SMARTEAM PLM Solution to Deploy its Key ‘Systeme Projet Segula’ Program

SMARTEAM will boost the efficiency of Segula’s teams around the globe by enhancing collaborative work and large engineering project management

Paris, France, February 15, 2006 – Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that Segula Technologies, a leading French engineering consultancy, has selected SMARTEAM to manage its PLM platform.

Segula Technologies is investing in SMARTEAM to enhance its large project management services delivered to customers in the automotive, aerospace and industrial vehicles sectors, among others. The dedicated multi-site program management, workflow and multi-CAD digital model management components available with SMARTEAM will allow Segula Technologies to rise to new challenges and take a significant technological lead over its main competitors. These solutions will enable the firm to provide proactive project management support for customers and optimize its time/cost/quality deliverables.

Commenting on this decision, Director of Research and Innovation at Segula Technologies Didier Coffy said: “We are implementing SMARTEAM in partnership with Dassault Systèmes as part of our ‘SYSTEME PROJET SEGULA’ program. The SMARTEAM PLM and PDM tools will be the infrastructure of the program: we have already used them over the past year for specific projects and in 2006 will extend them to the entire group, to manage large-scale projects in all sectors where Segula Technologies is present.”

“The project is the starting point for pooling our company’s resources regardless of whether teams are based in France or at one of our ten subsidiaries around the world,” said Bilal Anbari, General Manager of Segula Technologies’ Automotive business. “It will provide the precision and traceability needed to develop truly global projects.”

“SMARTEAM solutions are growing from strength to strength, and a increasing numbers of manufacturers are placing their trust in this leading-edge solution, which offers a veritable breakthrough from the outmoded systems offered by the competition,” said Arnaud Poujardieu, vice-president sales, France and Benelux, at Dassault Systèmes. “Our PLM SMARTEAM solutions today form an integral part of our customers’ competitive strategy. Thanks to our PLM solutions, customers like Segula Technologies can confidently tackle the challenges ahead and address their customers’ need to constantly evolve.”
