Dassault Systèmes, the aircraft design trailblazer with cutting-edge solutions, boasts rich industry experience and forward-looking technical superiority in the aerospace industry. Most of Top 20 aircraft manufacturers and major OEMs around the world have adopted Dassault Systèmes’ solutions, and nearly all new key R&D projects for the aviation industry have taken advantage of Dassault Systèmes’ technology. As for China market, various research institutes under China National Aviation Corp and some large aerospace enterprises are using Dassault Systèmes’ solutions. Moreover, the company has been engaged in the R&D and design in major aerospace projects in China, such as regional airliner Comac ARJ21 and the Comac C919 with total proprietary intellectual property rights.

The year of 2012 is a milestone for Dassault Systèmes as during which the company opens new horizons with the launch of its 3DEXPERIENCE strategy. In the Airshow China 2012, Dassault Systèmes demonstrated its latest 3DEXPERIENCE platform and related applications (CATIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA and 3DVIA) for the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry, which engage the user experience throughout the whole R&D process rather than prior to the product delivery and plays all kinds of roles in a single source of data, ranging from design, ensemble, review, engineering, inspection and measurement to the workshop, workers and even the maintenance. Dassault Systèmes, also demonstrated the virtual-reality-based 3D interactive roam system for the carrier battle group and fighter planes. The system adopted the German industrial-level infra-red tracing system—ART SmartTrack which is not only easy to use but made it possible of tracking the operator’s view and the all-directional navigation by means of the 6DoF hand shank. In addition, overall R&D process oriented to virtual test flight and the real-time collaborative review under digital design environment was also exhibited during the Airshow.
