VÉLIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, France, June 20, 2011 - Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) announced today that its subsidiary, Exalead, a global provider of search and information access software for the enterprise and the Web, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Bull, a European leader in the design, implementation and management of mission-critical digital systems. Exalead and Bull will bring innovative new search-based solutions to public and private health organizations and to local and regional government authorities. The geographic regions targeted include Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Brazil, and Australia.

"To improve day-to-day decision-making, increase efficiency and drive innovation, our clients need to break down the information silos so characteristic of today’s information systems," states Bruno Pinna, Bull’s Director of Cloud Computing Activities. "Exalead’s Search-Based Application (SBA) model satisfies this need in a non-intrusive and highly effective way. It is the perfect framework for helping our customers rapidly expose and exploit the full value of their information assets."

"It’s very satisfying to see so many key market players discover the distinctive advantages of SBAs. Bull has been particularly quick in grasping the potential of SBAs to address mission-critical needs that legacy technologies can never satisfy," notes Odile Mongheal, Director of Partnerships & Alliances, Exalead, Dassault Systèmes. "We are excited to join forces with Bull to bring the benefits of SBAs to new clients in sectors like local government and healthcare. For example, we look forward to seeing hospitals improve the quality of their care and achieve cost-saving efficiencies through the ‘Patient Dossier’ SBAs we are developing with Bull."
