Troy, Michigan (USA), August 31, 2001 - DELMIA Corp., a DS company (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA),  announced today that METROLOGIC GROUP has joined the Software Community Program (SCP) as a Gold Partner.  Through this development partnership METROLOGIC GROUP will develop, market and sell application based on the V5 architecture, integrated and complementary to CATIA, ENOVIA and DELMIA V5 solutions. <br/>

METROLOGIC GROUP® will develop on the V5 architecture an application for on-line programming of CMM’s (Coordinate Measuring Machines) named METROLOG V5.  The METROLOG V5 -- CAA V5 Based -- application enables inspection departments to utilize the off-line CMM program that was created by V5 DELMIA Inspect to directly analyze how closely manufactured parts compare to their CAD data.  The METROLOG V5 -- CAA V5 Based -- application will allow CMM users to record a program on-line at the CMM.  In this “teaching mode” the CMM path is learned from CMM moves and once the program is recorded users can run the program automatically on that CMM or a similar CMM.  The METROLOG V5 -- CAA V5 Based -- application also increases programming efficiency by providing users with the ability to directly access tolerances from the CAD model and by automatically generating inspection results that can be exported for use in SPC (Statistical Process Control) software packages. <br/>
