Product Overview

FASTSURF offers various robotics functions for process planning, path creation as well as offline programming and analysis of surface processes. It offers a highly productive and intuitive simulation environment providing different tools to fulfill any kind of robot simulation requirements. As a CAA V5 application based on the DELMIA PPR hub, FASTSURF is fully integrated into DELMIA's infra-structure. This provides design and layout functions to set up the robot cell. The part to be sprayed may be a V5 file or imported geometry through the various data interface capabilities of DELMIA. The robot cell will be completed by modeling fixtures for clamping the work piece and optionally with rails or other positioning devices. The geometries and kinematics can be imported or created using V5 CAD capabilities. Reachability analysis can be performed in order to check whether the used robot cell allows for spraying the entire work piece.   • Design and layout: FASTSURF speeds up the setup of robot cells using various library and layout functions. This saves time in the early phase of the process and avoids decisions, which are hard to revise in a later stage.
  • Offline programming: The paint path based on the parts CAD geometry can be calculated with a minimum of prototypes and teaching. This enables the user to generate the optimal path and save time as a result of reduction of program cycle time.
  • Simulation and analysis: The entire process can be checked in advance against collision and reachability. In addition, the resulting thickness of the deposited material (e.g. lacquer) can be analyzed. This guarantees a collision free and smooth process and allows process optimization by avoiding tedious testing cycles.
