In this release V5R21 ENOVIA Multi-Tier Enterprise Architecture provides the following new enhancement.
Rules Based Generation of Derived Formats Allowing users to turn off the File Introspection utility for files based on customer-defined rules and based on the attribute values of object types.
This provides more control when generating derived formats, allowing users (when necessary) to avoid the generation of large amounts of derived formats in the database. This results in more efficient management of shared IP content optimizing performance, capacity, and scalability.
Multi-tier structure featuring rich client, application server and database server layers
Platform-independent client layer using Java for implementation in an OS-based or browser-based environment
Platform independent server layer
Support for Websphere Application and Portal server capabilities
