After an assessment of the existing system and other available solutions, Scharl’s team ultimately selected the eMatrix solution. The team found that the eMatrix solution’s exceptionally flexible data model enabled a powerful software solution with a low cost of ownership, which would be easy to use, implement and adapt on a global basis. The eMatrix solution could also scale and integrate readily with other critical Siemens applications, such as CAD and ERP.
