ENOVIA Materials Compliance Experience

ENOVIA® Materials Compliance Experience enables managers to view compliance and supplier reporting status for products and supplied parts in order to ensure an on-time product launch that meets target market regulations.

ENOVIA Materials Compliance Experience compliments ENOVIA® Materials Compliance Central™ as part of an overall materials compliancy business process. Users of ENOVIA Materials Compliance Experience serve the role of a “compliance reviewer” and are able to do the following:

• Search and view enterprise and manufacturer equivalent parts (MEPs) including compliance properties.

• View the bills-of-material (BOMs) of enterprise parts and MEPs.

• View material declarations including the lifecycle state and reported part BOM information, including compliance properties.

• Run the following reports:

• Compliance

• Compliance Scorecard

• Best/Worst-Case Analysis (read-only)

• RRR (reuse, recycling and recovery)

• Battery

• WEEE (Waste in Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive)

• Supplier

• Unreported Parts.

A compliance reviewer has no access to the advanced functionality of ENOVIA® Materials Compliance Central™ such as viewing material or substance data, editing, importing, or exporting data, and running reports that expose detailed substance information.

  • Provide management access to product environmental compliance and supplier reporting data
  • View a product’s compliance throughout the product development process to determine conformance to industry environmental directives.
  • View the reporting status of outsourced manufacturer equivalent parts and use this information to make sourcing decisions based on supplier part compliance.
  • Searching for Parts and Viewing Part Search Results
Compliance reviewers can search for enterprise parts and MEPs using the ENOVIA Materials Compliance Central search pages. Enterprise parts can be ENOVIA® Engineering Central™ parts or ENOVIA Materials Compliance Central parts. Search results can be viewed in table format. The multi-edit functionality associated with these search results is not available to compliance reviewers.
  • Searching and Viewing Material Declarations and Reported Parts
Compliance reviewers can search for material declarations and view details such as properties and lifecycle progress. From the properties page, the reported part can also be viewed.
  • Viewing Individual Parts
ENOVIA Materials Compliance Experience users can view the compliance properties of enterprise parts while navigating the part’s BOM. They can also view related MEPs, customer part numbers, and reference documents. Users cannot view related materials or calculated substances information of parts, which is only available to compliance engineers using ENOVIA Materials Compliance Central.
  • Running Part Reports
Compliance reviewers can run the following reports on enterprise parts, MEPs, and reported parts: • Compliance – View calculated compliance of the parts in a BOM. • Compliance Scorecard – View compliance of parts in a scorecard report for a selected set of compliance definitions. • Best/Worst Case Analysis – View and compare the compliance of the MEPs associated with parts in a BOM; for compliance reviewers, this report is read-only, which means that the selected equivalents cannot be updated with this report. • RRR (reuse, recycling and recovery) –Determines the percentage of a BOM that can be reused, recycled, or recovered. • Battery –Determines the count and weights of batteries in products broken down by battery type and technology. • WEEE (Waste in Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive) – Determines the weight of products and components broken down by generic or country-specific WEEE classifications. • Supplier – View the manufacturer parts reporting status for a selected set of suppliers from a search or for a selected set of product BOMs; the report includes calculated metrics such as the percentage of the MEPs in a BOM that are reported. • Unreported Parts – View the reporting status of the parts in a product BOM. In order to run these reports, the parts must be rolled up and up-to-date in terms of calculated compliance values. The compliance reviewer can request a roll-up of selected parts to be done by a compliance engineer.
  • Review Materials Compliancy Status with ENOVIA 3DLive
The ENOVIA® 3DLive™ client can be configured with a compass quadrant devoted to materials compliance. The user can select the value of compliance (compliance definition) to be displayed and the representation of the part in ENOVIA 3DLive will be colored to reflect the compliance value. The hover capability of ENOVIA 3DLive can be used to view additional information regarding compliance including the exemption information if the part is compliant with exemptions. This capability is only available to the ENOVIA 3DLive user if they are also a licensed user of ENOVIA® Materials Compliance Central™, ENOVIA® X-BOM for Materials Compliance, or ENOVIA Materials Compliance Experience.
