View Documents in their Native FormatUsers have the ability to view computer aided design (CAD) models directly. The system provides an automatic translation of the native file into a viewable image when selected. The viewable image is cached on the server so that subsequent viewing from other users does not require additional translation but picks up the translated file from the server. There are more than four hundred 2D and 3D document formats available.
Generate Markups on Stored DocumentsA user can generate a markup directly on stored documents or renditions using a rich set of annotation tools. This markup is linked automatically to the original document. The user may also generate multiple markups and associate them to specific layers for different areas of interest.
Markup ManagementENOVIA Collaborative 3D Viewing with AutoVue Professional has the ability to discern between regular, master and consolidated markup files. As designs go through multiple iterations and additional revisions are generated, markups may be migrated to these new revisions as required. An additional capability allows a user to consolidate markups that may have been generated from different users. Control access may be defined differently for each of the above types.
Document CompareThe system allows users to search for and compare different revisions of drawings. The system can also cross probe between layout drawings and schematics or between the 2D and 3D view of a model stored in the database.
Output ManagementUsers can print documents with header, footers, and watermark information queried from specified document attributes to document proposed modifications, show differences between models or to document models and drawings with detail annotation not stored with the documents.
Retrieve XREFs stored by ENOVIA Collaborative Design ApplicationsIf there are external references stored in the database such as a 3D model associated to a 2D drawing, when selecting the 3D model the 2D representation may also be checked out. This is available for SolidWorks®, Pro/ENGINEER and AutoCAD.
