ENOVIA Component Experience

ENOVIA® Component Experience enables design engineers to search and reuse standard parts across the enterprise based on associated manufacturer equivalent and supplier parts (MEPs and SEPs) while defining engineering bills-of-material (EBOMs).

With ENOVIA Component Experience, companies can build better products at a lower cost and with reduced time by encouraging part reuse and reducing part proliferation across the enterprise. It allows design engineers to perform enterprise-wide search for approved, qualified and preferred standard parts based on equivalent manufacturer or supplier parts while building EBOMs.

  • Search and Access Standard Parts
    ENOVIA Component Experience (provides parametric search capabilities that allow design engineers to search and evaluate standard parts based on commercial part information such as manufacturer or supplier name and preferences. They can also search for standard parts based on corresponding part equivalent (MEP or SEP) attributes and qualifications while building EBOMs. Search results show a fully cross-referenced view of parts including all necessary information to make a component selection including unit-of-measure, lead time, target cost, estimated cost, effective date, usage location, manufacturing location, and supplier location. Additionally, users can access attachments and reference documents for components and their equivalents (MEPs and SEPs).
  • Side-by-Side Comparison of Part Definition
    ENOVIA Component Experience allows users to perform a side-by-side comparison of multiple components from the search results list based on various classification attributes used to make a selection. This helps component engineers to examine the similarities and differences of attributes of various qualified components and choose the right one for the most optimized design.
  • AVL Reports
    Users can generate Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) reports for EBOMs to present information on standard parts used and the corresponding MEPs or SEPs. This enables component engineers to make well-informed decisions while driving sourcing initiatives during the design process.
