Supply Chain user

The Global Sourcing domain allows companies to leverage supply chain capabilities throughout the product lifecycle and make their suppliers an integral part of product development. Within Global Sourcing are these sub-processes: Supply Chain Network, Collaborative Sourcing, and Supplier Performance Monitoring.

ENOVIA Quotation Central

ENOVIA® Quotation Central™ makes it possible for a company’s suppliers to participate in the (RFQ) process.

With ENOVIA Quotation Central, companies can automate the global sourcing process by ensuring that suppliers submit RFQ responses electronically with standard templates that improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs by eliminating paper based processes and cutting travel time and expenses. Using ENOVIA Quotation Central makes it possible for a company to aggregate all supplier responses into a single location so buyers can easily view and track progress. Suppliers can suggest Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and collaborate with different functional groups early and throughout the product lifecycle. As a result, companies can reduce development costs and accelerate time-to-market.

  • Make it easier for suppliers to respond to RFQs from a customer in a timely fashion.
  • Improve the accuracy of quotations by accessing current product related data including drawings, specifications, 3D models, etc.
  • Ensure comprehensive responses to RFQs by including information on all requested data elements as well as optional attachments used for additional explanation.
  • Encourage suppliers to become development partners by proactively suggesting engineering changes to reduce total cost.
  • Standardized Supplier Quotations
Suppliers submit their responses in a standardized data entry screen that is tailored to the unique sourcing needs of the RFQ. Mandatory and optional data entry is displayed clearly so suppliers can accurately fill out their quotations and avoid missed deadlines. Each quotation contains the standard terms and conditions, award attributes, and contract quality deliverables.
  • Negotiation
Buyers can manage multiple rounds of RFQs, which require suppliers to update their responses. ENOVIA Quotation Central preserves complete historical information on each round of bidding. When responding to an RFQ, suppliers can specify multiple price-periods for any given line item. Granular access controls include more stakeholders in the processes without compromising security. Some suppliers may choose to submit an ECR with their response in order to demonstrate the value that they can provide beyond cost, volume, and schedule.
  • Quotation PowerView
The “Quotation PowerView” provides an improved display of quotation line items, making it easy to review and respond to multiple line items at-once through a single unified view without having to navigate back and forth between pages.
  • Full-text Search Support
Users can find Quotations quickly and easily using the full-text search capability included with ENOVIA Live Collaboration (CPF).
  • Cross-functional Sourcing Collaboration
Suppliers can create repeatable and/or ad hoc workflows for cross-functional review and approval related to preparing their quotation responses. Suppliers are alerted automatically to key events in the sourcing process.
  • Microsoft Excel Export
Suppliers can export quotations to formatted Microsoft Excel files for off-line editing. Required fields are highlighted in these files minimizing data entry errors.
  • The Role of ENOVIA V6 and PLM 2.0
ENOVIA Quotation Central supports PLM 2.0, product lifecycle management online for everyone, and the ENOVIA V6 values: global collaborative innovation, single PLM platform for intellectual property (IP) management, online creation and collaboration, ready to use PLM business processes, and lower cost of ownership
