The PROSTEP V6 XPDM PTC Windchill Adapter is based on Dassault Systemes V6 XPDM data exchange framework that connects V6 with Windchill in order to synchronize data between both systems in a bi-directional way. The scope is the transfer of BOMs and product structures including CAD files.

This product will also allow updates to be made in the backend systems through a controlled transaction management procedure to ensure data integrity. This includes locking, check-in/out, ownership transfer, versioning and transaction management. The process reliability and flexibility is ensured by the underlying PROSTEP OpenPDM technology.

A typical use case is the integration of ENOVIA V6 as TDM and Windchill as PDM system. Another one is the integration of any CAD designs into CATIA V6. Also the migration from Windchill-connected CAD systems to CATIA V6 is possible.
