Define supply chain networks and logistics relations with Version 6 Planning

• Define a supply chain network and manage the lifecycle of the links

  Create sourcing links between manufacturing systems that show the flows of materials or products from suppliers to plants. Manage the maturity of the sourcing link (draft, work in process, or depreciated, for example) as part of the PLM management of the link.

• Define transportation systems and logistic flow

  For each sourcing link, users can define logistics information such as candidate transportation resources (railway, plane, truck, ship), distances, and transportation duration.

• Navigate sourcing links using a sourcing table

  Navigate on sourcing links and filter supply network data based on specific interest: plants served by a given supplier, or all suppliers to a specific plant, or all suppliers of a selected material or part, for example.

• Manage Physical Supply Chain Lifecycle

  Sourcing links are instantiated as PLM 2.0 objects, providing the full lifecycle, configuration, and effectiveness management capabilities of the Version 6 collaborative environment.
