Speaker Biographies

Deepak Goyal, Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA Corp.:

Dr. Goyal is a Senior Technical Specialist, currently playing the role of simulation consultant in SIMULIA's Power of Portfolio team. He received his M.S. & Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University in August 2003 & December 2007 respectively. He is a recipient of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) open topic graduate award in the year 2006. In academia, he has conducted extensive FAA, NASA & AFOSR funded research in tape laminated composites, textile composites & materials with complex microstructures. Since January 2008, he has been working with Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA Corp. where he has provided training & consulting services to SIMULIA’ s customers in various industries. Dr. Goyal has published several journal papers in highly reputed peer-reviewed international journals and has also reviewed scholarly articles of other researchers for leading journals in the area of Composites Materials.

Shikta Mishra, Dassault SystèmesSIMULIA Corp.

Shikta works as a Solution Consultant at Dassault Systèmes where she focuses on developing engineering methodologies using finite element modelling and automating  simulation process flows to execute design exploration studies. She has more than 5 years of research and industry experience in the modelling and simulation domain.  Her past experience includes working as a research assistant at the P&G Simulation Center, where she worked on packaging modelling and simulation for P&G Fabric Care.  Prior to that, she has worked as a design engineer for sheet metal tool design at Tata Motors. Shikta holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati where she pursued her research in the field of soft tissue mechanics.

Arun Krishnan, Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA Corp.:

Arun Krishnan is a Solution Consultant with SIMULIA Central. He has a PhD from Vanderbilt University specializing in structural mechanics and fracture mechanics of composite materials. Arun is the in-house expert on structural optimization techniques and has experience in teaching, supporting and conducting a number of pre-sales projects with Tosca and Abaqus.

Ramji Kamakoti, Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA Corp.:

Dr. Kamakoti is a Senior Solution Consultant at Dassault Systèmes and has been with the company for over 5 years. He got his Ph.D. from the University of Florida specializing in the field of Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) and has over 15 years of research/work experience in the field of computational sciences, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), FSI and Multiphysics in general. His current responsibilities include providing training, pre- and post-sales support for Multiphysics application within SIMULIA software suite.
