SIMULIA Central Regional Users Meeting 2011

From September 27, 2011 to September 29, 2011
Crowne Plaza – O’Hare, Rosemont United States

Join us at this year's RUM and discover how experts in engineering and academia are applying the latest simulation technology and methods to accelerate and improve product development. Attend the one-day RUM and also join us for two one-day seminars following on September 28 and 29.

Join industry colleagues to participate in a valuable exchange of industry knowledge and networking.

Topics will cover latest product enhancements as well as customer presentations offering insight into how industry leading companies are applying Abaqus, Isight and SLM to accelerate the exploration of real-world physical behavior of materials and products in order to improve performance, safety, and quality of life.

Join us for our Post-RUM seminars. Choose from two different seminars.

September 28: Isight Primer for Abaqus Users

Attend this free one-day seminar and learn how Isight can help you automate your manual design processes. Isight facilitates rapid integration of simulation tools including internally developed programs and commercial CAD/CAE/Math/Office applications. Learn how to integrate "wrap" an Abaqus model into Isight, automate your Abaqus simulations using the Loop component, explore design alternatives using DOE, Approximations and Optimization and more.

September 29: Topology and Shape Optimization in Abaqus

Learn how to use the exciting new features of Abaqus/CAE including the new Abaqus Topology Optimization Module (ATOM).  ATOM provides the ability to perform topology and shape optimization within the native Abaqus/CAE environment. When used in combination with finite element analyses, ATOM can help you refine your designs and produce lightweight, strong and durable components. Additionally, using structural optimization techniques can significantly reduce the number of design iterations required during a product development process leading to savings in tooling costs and vastly reduces the time to market for the product.  As an added bonus, all attendees will receive a 60-day free trial with full support.

Agenda

We are pleased to have the following presenters this year sharing their use of realistic simulation within their organization. In addition to our customer presentations, SIMULIA Executives will highlight on new trends and software enhancements within the SIMULIA product portfolio.
