John Wyzykowski was appointed Director, Productivity in 2012 and currently leads the company’s Productivity and Transformation initiatives. His key focus is the development of industry-leading Product Lifecycle Maintenance (PLM) capabilities through a unique integration of people, process and technology across the extended enterprise.
Mr. Wyzykowski began his career at P&WC in 1984 and has held roles of increasing importance in the Engineering, Operations and Sales & Marketing organizations. He was previously Vice President, Turbofan Engine Programs, responsible for bringing to service business jet engines for aircraft including Dassault Aviation’s Falcon.
Additionally, he was Director of Strategic Cost Reduction, responsible for leading the company’s margin expansion and globalization efforts. In his role as General Manager for P&WC’s Mississauga R&D and Production facility, the company achieved significant benchmarks in delivery, safety and employee engagement performance. He has led a number of innovative projects including collaborative high-altitude testing with NASA, development of Virgin Galactic’s mothership engines and bringing additive manufacturing to P&WC. He has prior consulting experience with Giffels Associates and aircraft structural dynamics with Boeing Canada.
Mr. Wyzykowski earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering from McGill University in Montreal in, respectively, 1981 and 1983.
Mr. Wyzykowski is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, a former Design Approval Appointee under Transport Canada, recipient of the P&WC President’s Award and author of several technical publications. He is married with two children and is an avid fitness enthusiast and woodworking craftsman.
