Course Objective

This course is an introduction to the modeling and analysis capabilities of DesignSight. DesignSight enables designers to perform realistic simulation of parts/assemblies under structural and thermal loading conditions early in the design cycle. By enabling the designers to perform realistic simulation earlier in the design cycle, when the cost of design change is low and opportunity is high, DesignSight spurs product innovation, reduces time to market, and ensures product competitiveness.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

• Search for simulation data in the V6 database
• Perform a structural/frequency simulation using DesignSight Structure and Structure Plus
• Perform a thermal simulation using DesignSight Thermal
• Open a DesignSight simulation for modification
• Review simulations stored in a database and generate reports
