The Happy Few: 10 Certified Professionals Invited for Free to ECF 2005:

Professional certification is a highly sought-after mark of credibility for expertise in the information technology and engineering marketplace. It is a privilege that must be both earned and maintained. That is why Dassault Systèmes want the market to know that they consider their Certified Professionals as very unique people. And unique people deserve a unique treatment.

As an example of the exclusive privileges that they deserve, 10 Certified Professionals have been given an all-inclusive, free invitation package to ECF 2005. Those lucky few were drawn among the list of all referenced Certified Professionals in Europe and included professionals from customers and business partners, as well as one teacher and two students from the academic world. For all those expert users, it was the opportunity to get away from their CATIA screens for a few days and join the event where they could catch up on the latest industrial best practices and PLM technology.

The successful candidates were the first students from a Japanese university, technical school or high school to pass the exam. They also became the first high school students in the world to earn CATIA Professional Certification.
The school, under the direction of Principal Kenichi HIRATA, helped the students reach their goal by providing students with specific instruction in regular classes and offering supplementary classes.
