Put an Eiffel Tower in your Classroom

How to transform a passion for a past architectural innovation into an intelligent digital mockup? Thanks to the advanced modeling capabilities of CATIA, Ariel Morandy - a steelwork specialist – digitalized the Eiffel Tower in 3D and thus shares his enthusiasm. To optimize the modeling of the tower, Ariel took advantage of some key applications, primarily CATIA parametric and CATIA Structure Detail Design (SDD). Modeling methods using these applications allow users to re-build past structures or invent new ones by associating rules, theories, or simulations with designs. This creative use of 3D representations opens an exciting virtual world to study past and future constructions.

Automotive Engineering by an Automotive Engineer

“Design Process in Practice” by Richard Haslauer, BMW, is a book that provides a scenario of an optimal development process within a vehicle project—starting from a design section through to the finished components, all leveraging CATIA's parametric–associative potential. Educators and students will find inspiring practices to standardize and optimize methods and processes across an entire vehicle development project.
This book is the result of the author’s own experience as a CATIA V5 methodology developer within real vehicle projects.
