Helps companies prepare their design for downstream applications

CATIA 3D Reuse enables reconciliation and fixing tools to heal parts to be used in downstream applications such as manufacturing, analysis, or tooling design. It also helps users to check the validity of imported data pertaining to CATIA modeling criteria, then to correct or improve the topology and the geometry of the analyzed objects.

CATIA 3D Reuse recognizes part design features from an Isolated B-Rep. It is used to retrieve a comprehensive CATIA data structure (product structure) from an Isolated B-Rep part. When the user imports a part, he can recover elementary part design features.

CATIA 3D Reuse helps companies to manage and protect their intellectual property (IP) by providing filtering mechanisms integrated into their exchange processes.     CATIA Healing Assistant analyzes surface boundaries and provides tools to clean them. Then users can automatically fill all gaps up to a given value in mm, smooth all tangency discontinuities up to a given value in degrees and even erase all curvature discontinuities between edges of the boundary. It is also possible to automatically remove very small edges (very short curves) and to concatenate boundary curves to reduce the number of edges. The same operations can be performed on any type of curve other than surface boundaries. The modifications are controlled by a maximum deformation parameter.
  • Reduces gaps, imposes faces, and freezes faces and edges
    You can modify the geometry of the faces of a multi-face surface in order to reduce gaps. The gap width is made smaller than a specified objective distance. You can also impose faces not to be modified if necessary (planar elements are frozen by default). And you can freeze the faces and edges that need to be preserved.
