Dialog Imaging Systems boosts productivity, cuts time to market with Dassault Systèmes PLM solutions

WESTFORD, Mass., October 5, 2006 – Dassault Systèmes (DS, Nasdaq: DASTY, Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, has announced that Dialog Imaging Systems (DIS) has selected its ENOVIA MatrixOne Synchronicity® Developer Suite™ solution to streamline its development process, improve overall data sharing, and gain a competitive edge by more quickly launching products into the market.
“Design data are the crown jewels of a company like DIS. They need considerable care in handling. We needed a secure and reliable system to manage the development data,” said Dr. Roland Pudelko, CEO of DIS. “The ENOVIA MatrixOne Synchronicity solutions enable us to optimize our development processes across the company, to better compete with larger semiconductor manufacturers, through shorter product cycles and reduced time to market.” DIS, a spin off from Dialog Semiconductor, produces camera phone imaging modules that can produce the same image quality as dedicated digital cameras with extremely low power consumption. For this, DIS uses innovations in semiconductor sensors, micro-motors, and special optics.
To optimize its complex design processes, DIS needed a secure, reliable system that could manage development data across the company. DIS selected MatrixOne’s Synchronicity Developer Suite which includes MatrixOne’s ProjectSync®, which raises design predictability with multi-site project-based issue tracking and communications, and MatrixOne’s DesignSync®, which makes design data available to the entire project team, no matter where they are located, in a safe, efficient, managed manner.
“Over time, every manufacturer creates its own method to develop its products – from design to delivery. This means managing a huge number of parameters, often across different locations - an enormous challenge in terms data management,” says Fabrice Mekersi, EMEA semiconductor sales for ENOVIA MatrixOne. “ENOVIA MatrixOne’s Synchronicity solutions provide flexibility and performance. The solutions can be customised, release creative potential and optimize the value chain. An increasing number of middle-sized companies like DIS recognize the value of our solutions and use them successfully.” Dialog Semiconductor, DIS’ parent company also uses MatrixOne’s Syncronicity Developer Suite.
