In the context of the MERITO project Märklin is putting product development on a uniform basis throughout the enterprise. The tool to make this happen is the engineering platform from Dassault Systèmes: CATIA V5 and ENOVIA SmarTeam.

The standardised data environment and design methods will speed up the innovation process across the different sites. A 30 per cent drop in both design costs and process times is expected.
